Gumnut Grove - Bay Area Discovery Museum

A new playground structure at the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito, CA. The exhibit includes large steel bridges and climbing structures painted with Carboline Industrial Coatings and copper-cladded gumnuts patinated with liver of sulfur. 2021.

Yosemite Valley Exploration Center

Yosemite Valley’s new Exploration Center allows visitors to learn about and interact with the species and history of Yosemite Valley, CA. I converted my spray booth into a cabinet finishing shop and finished 250+ cabinetry pieces with a satin clear coat in 4 days. Other finishes include: Shou Sugi Ban (burnt) and clear coated doug fir, tinted lacquer on mild steel c-channel to create a faux black patina, direct-to-substrate printed doug fir with a catalyzed satin clear coat, painted letters for signage, and vinyl application. 2023.

Alviso Adobe Museum

A historic adobe building converted into a museum space in Alviso Adobe Park, Milpitas, CA. Projects included staining and clear coating doug fir display benches, adhering peeling historic wallpaper, and fabricating custom objects to reflect the lives of those who lived there. Objects include: tatume squash, pinto bean pods, tea in a teacup, whiskey in a bottle and glasses, maize, and dioramas of plaster and lath construction. I also repainted a 1930’s fridge and water heater with oil-based enamel to reflect how they would have looked when they were new. 2022.

Dallas Arboretum’s Christmas Village

Two walkable buildings and four facades added to the existing Christmas Village installation in Dallas, TX. Faux finishes include: plaster exterior, wood trim and doors, rough sawn wood, iron door. Exterior paint on Extira. 2020.

Los Altos History Museum

A new permanent exhibit installed at the Los Altos History Museum in Los Altos, CA. Finishes include: red oak clear coated to match existing oak in the building, a topographical map carved by CNC then sanded and finished with a clear coat and metal inlays, diorama creation, and object painting. 2023.
